Tokens will be required when you use VAG OBD Helper:

  • If the VAG MQB immo data can’t be read out, you can try to use VAG OBD helper, but it can work for adding new keys (Take Johnson Controls key adding as an example)
  • If A4L Q5 BCM2 data can’t be directly read out, and the interface displays the data length error, VAG OBD helper can be used to calculate BCM2 data.
  • If you have all keys lost for any of 2014 A6 A7 A8 Touareg, PHIDEON with 5th immo system, you can use VAG OBD helper to online calculate BCM2 data, then working together with VVDI2, APPRO to program key.

Note: Before using VAG OBD helper, please make sure the vehicle info is not tampered and vehicle status is legal, otherwise the immo data can’t be calculated.

In conclusion:
All programming tools above can be used for ECU read and write, but differs in ECU coverage and r/w method. There is NO LIMITS of the car model and year when using KTM bench to read/write data.
But if you have chips and gearboxes to read and write, you should have a KTM flash. The bad is: disassembling is required. KTM bench doesn’t cover chips and gearboxes and KTM OBD cannot not work good for gerabox r/w.
FYI, you’d better check the ECU/gearbox/chip before your purchase.

Which tool to Program Maserati Quattroporte 2004 All Keys Lost

A Maserati Quattroporte 2004 owner has lost all keys, straight remote key. Here is the locksmith solution on how to program a new key.

First try some obd key programmers, skp900, obdstar x300, all failed. You have to remove BDM to write key.

1.Remove BDM

Quattroporte BDM is located under the dashboard. Open the shell, find out and locate CPU.

Xprog-M box higher version and VVDI Prog do have this cpu listed, but don’t have connection pinout. Spent a long time to analyse the CPU External alignment and finally connected it. It requires technical skills as well.

Read MC9S12 MCU eeprom via Xprog

Read eeprom data and save it.
