Setting the eeprom worked fine.
Here is the manual:
CG100 Prog airbag restore device will not only reset airbag, but reset ECU, read eeprom, flash ecu, reset mileage etc as well. Here’s the demo guide on reset mileage on a Volvo XC60 2012 9S12XHZ384 by CG100 Prog III.
Step 1: Remove dashboard
Step 2: Find out CPU
Check dashboard. Record original mileage. Find out CPU type: 9S12XHZ384
Original mileage: 60307 KM
Open CG100 prog software
Select 9S12 Dash->Volvo-> 2012 s60-xc60-s80 (384 EEPROM)/2012 s60-xc60-s80 (FLASH)
Step 3: Connection
Check wiring connection in CG100 software.
Connect CG100 Prog III with BDM+4 adapter, connect CG100 special 12P cable with BDM4+ adapter and dash
Step 4: Reset mileage
Power on CG100 after well connected with 12P cable
Click on Next
CG100 will auto read mileage (Please backup mileage data before resetting)
You need to change both EEPROM and FLASH data on Volvo instrument. If you only change data in one of them, dashboard mileage will remain unchanged.
CG100 read current mileage: 60180 KM which is slightly different from original 60307 KM. But never mind, you can change the mileage you desired.
Customer require to lower mileage to 10407 KM.
Here’s the engineer solution to reset KM in BMW FEM/BDC module by Xhorse VVDI2 BMW key programmer.

Open VVDI2 software
Select Key Learn->FEM/BDC Key Learn->Get Key Info
vvdi2 will read vehicle info, VIN, type etc
Select Programming FEM/BDC system
VVDI2 will show main 5 steps to program:
1.Open FEM/BDC shell, find 95128/95256 chip position, read EEPROM dump via VBDC programmer
2. Load original EEPROM dump and save special eeprom dump, write special eeprom dump back to 95128/95256 chip
3. Restore FEM/BDC shell, provide +12v and connect OBD
1. This operation require FEM/BDC on the bench, and make sure you inish step1 and steo2
2. Provide +12v to FEM/BDC and connect OBD
1.Open FEM/BDC shell,write original EEPROM dump (read in step2) back to 95128/95256 chip
2. Restore FEM/BDC shell, provide +12v and connect OBD
Load coding file read in step1, write to FEM/BDC via OBDII, finish FEM/BDC programming
Now here’s the detail instruction:

Save coding file
VVDI2 prompt: Open FEM/BDC shell, read EEPROM dum,p via BDM programmer, press OK to view the
95128/95256 chip position
Check the chip position
Dissolder the 95256 MCU chip and and read eeprom dump with Xhorse vvdi prog programmer
in VVDI prog, select M95256 chip type to read
Save eeprom data and name it 95256.ori
Click OK to load 95256.ori file write the service eeprom dump file to 95128/95256 chip
Click Write Tab
Dissolder chip from VVDI Prog programmer and solder it back to FEM/BDC shell
Press YES in VVDI2

Step 4 will start:
1. Open FEM/BDC shell, write original eeprom dump (read in step2)
back to 95128/95256 chip
2. Restore FEM/BDC shell, provide +12v and connect OD
Continue after finish the list operation
write dump success
remove chip from vvdi programmer adapter and solder it back to FEM/BDC shell
Press OK in VVDI2 to continue
Step 5 will start:
Press OK to load original coding file and write to FEM/BDC module
Select get key info
you will see mileage 1337KM
This function only reset KM stored in FEM/BDC module, you need manually change KM in dashboard?
Select get key info
Now the KM is 0M
VVDI2 Reset BMW FEM/BDC KM success.
Here is the guide to change mileage on a Grand Cherokee 2004 by using Yanhua YH digimaster 3 odometer correction tool.
You need to remove dashboard to change KM on this model
Remove the rear cover of the instrument cluster and find CPU MC68HC12 B32
Open digimaster3 software, select Dash Programmer->Chrysler->Grand Cherokee-> Year 2002-
Follow digimaster wiring connection
If above ICP adapters don’t work, please change another type of ICP adapter
Make sure you connect well follow the wiring diagram
Connect ICP Adapter with Digimaster 3, click Next
Select Change KM or reset KM, here we select Change KM
The operation will cost 2 tokens (Digimaster 3 comes with 200 free tokens in default)
Digimaster 3 will display current mileage: 187900KM
Confirm the current mileage and press OK to save original mileage data
Digimaster III will ask to enter new odometer you want (Unit: KM)
Press YES to confirm
Change odometer success
